Spring is here! And we are just loving those peak a boo warm days we are getting. After all, who isn’t ready for days filled with sunshine and plus temperatures? Are we right?
The beginning of Spring also welcomes Easter. And if you are celebrating this weekend then you are going to want to take note. Check out what is happening this Easter weekend in Simcoe County!
Here are some amazing events happening in Simcoe County this weekend to celebrate the day.
1. GEORGIAN MALL EASTER BUNNY PHOTOS
Where: Georgian Mall at 509 Bayfield St, Barrie
When: March 17 to April 8, 2023
Bring your family to Georgian Mall and get a picture with the Easter Bunny in the court area just outside Shoppers Drug Mart on the lower level. Pet Days are March 28 and April 4 from 5 PM to 7 PM.
This year, Georgian Mall is also introducing Sensory Visits. On March 26 between 9 AM to 11 AM, families with children who have autism or other special needs can enjoy time with the Easter Bunny in a more subdued and sensory-friendly environment.

2. CHAPPELL FARMS SPRING FESTIVAL
Where: Chappell Farms at 17 Penetanguishene Road, Barrie
When: April 1 to 2, April 7 to 10, and April 15 to 16 from 10 AM to 4 PM
Chappell Farms is hosting its Spring Festival with tons of fun attractions including:
- A kids maze
- Magic show
- Wagon ride
- Maple syrup display
- Candy hunt
To buy tickets in advance, visit Chappell Farm’s website. Tickets will be $15 each (kids under 2 years are free). You can also purchase feed for the animals.
3. EASTER EGG HUNT AT DRYSDALE’S FARM
Where: Drysdale’s Farm at 6635 Simcoe County Rd 56, Egbert
When: April 7 to 9, 2023 at 10:00 AM, 12:00 PM, and 2:00 PM each day
Drysdale’s will be hosting their Annual Easter Egg Hunt on Easter weekend with lots of fun activities including:
- Train and wagon rides
- A magic show
- Visits with the Easter Bunny
- A Live exotic animal show
Drysdale’s has also teamed up with KOOL FM for the chance to win a Kings and Castles 20-person Birthday Party with food and drink. During each egg hunt, keep an eye out for the golden egg. If you find it, you’ll be entered to win!
Keep in mind that all of Drysdale’s activities will happen one after the other starting at 10 AM, 12 PM, and 2 PM. If you arrive late, you’ll miss out on some of the activities.
Tickets are $24.75 for kids and include a treat bag. Adults are $15.00 and children 2 and under are free but do not receive a treat bag.

4. EASTER EGG HUNT AT CURIO
Where: Curio Exploration Hub at 462 Bayfield St North, Barrie
When: April 7 & 8 with timeslots available throughout the day
You and your family can choose a 75-minute timeslot to hunt for eggs, make Easter crafts, and play at Curio Exploration Hub.
Tickets are $15 and include 1 adult and 1 child. Participants should bring their own basket.

5. EASTER EGG HUNT AT FRIDAY HARBOUR
Where: Friday Harbour at 3999 Friday Dr, Innisfil
When: April 8 to 9, 2023
Friday Harbour is hosting family activities all weekend.
Saturday, April 8
- Basket Weaving on the Promenade ($5)
- Decorate Easter eggs on the Promenade ($5)
- 6th Annual Egg Drop from the Harbour Master (FREE)
- Peeps S’mores around the campfire ($5)
Sunday, April 9
- Build An Easter Buddy on the promenade complete with a birth certificate, wishing heart, and Friday Harbour shirt ($25)
- Easter Tie Dye T-Shirts on the promenade ($15)
- Easter Egg Hunt for all ages at the Compass on the Boardwalk (FREE)

6. TANGLE CREEK EASTER BRUNCH BUFFET
Where: Tangle Creek Golf, 4730 Side Road 25
When: April 9, 2023 with seatings starting at 10:30 AM
Tangle Creek will be hosting their Easter Brunch Buffet again this year. Reservations must be made by emailing firstname.lastname@example.org or calling 705-720-2150 ext 115.
Tickets will be $58 for adults, $25 for children 4 to 12, and FREE for children 3 and under are free.

7. ACTIVITIES AT THE BARRIE PUBLIC LIBRARY
Where: Barrie Public Library, 60 Worsley St
When: April 8, 2023 starting at 10:00 AM
Family storytime at the Barrie Public Library will have an Easter theme on Saturday, April 8. To join, head to the Children’s Picture Book Area on the 2nd Floor from 10:00 to 10:30 AM.
