Pumpkin picking is a fall tradition that you won’t want to miss out on, and there are several pumpkin patches throughout Barrie that are worth visiting, including the following:
 

Rounds Ranch

Rounds Ranch is holding its 15th annual Pumpkin Mania event starting on September 23rd and running on Saturdays and Sundays until October 29th, from 10:00 AM to 5:00 PM. The farm boasts all kinds of pumpkin-themed activities, including wagon rides through the pumpkin patch where you can pick out a pumpkin or your choosing. Some of the other activities you and your family can enjoy over at Rounds Ranch include pumpkin bowling, pumpkin bingo, pumpkin hokey, a pumpkin pie eating contest, pumpkin slam dunk, pumpkin seed spitting and the pumpkin toss.
Tickets to enjoy all of these activities are $12.95 a person. Included in the ticket price are access to other activities and events on the farm, including the pedal cart racetrack, the zip lines, the barrel train ride, the petting zoo and more. The only activity that costs extra is the pony rides, which cost $5.00.
 

Chappell Farms

Chappell Farms is home to the popular Pumpkin Festival, which runs from September 18th to October 31st. In addition to going pumpkin picking in their pumpkin patch, your children can also enjoy a wagon ride, a play area, the Boo Barn, the corn maze, the hay maze and the farmyard animals. There are also special attractions on the weekends and on the holidays, including magic shows, train rides, the jumping castle, the haunted tent and live entertainment.
Tickets are $6.00 per person on weekdays and $11.00 per person on weekends and on holidays. Children under the age of two get in for free.They also offer special rates for group visits.
 

Drysdale’s Tree Farm

Drysdale’s Tree Farm launches its Halloween festivities on the first weekend of October, which means you can go pumpkin picking here every weekend until Halloween. In addition to pumpkin picking, you and your family can enjoy a haunted wagon ride through the frightful forest, the witch’s broom ball, a zipline, the hay play place, train rides, face painting and much more.
Drysdale’s Tree Farm’s festivities run from 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM on Saturdays and Sundays as well as from 7:00 PM to 10:00 PM on Fridays and Saturdays. Daytime passes, which give you access to all activities, are $10.00 a person. Children under the age of four get in for free. Night time passes are $15.00 a person.
